Awards 2017

On the night of the Gala CEE will be presenting the following awards to community professionals in addition to the graduates of the Kitchen Masters Program 2016/17 cohort.

Partner Award:

The CEE Partner Award recognises economic and/or capacity building opportunities provided to youth.
Award Recipient:  The Dirty Bird Chicken + Waffles restaurant for providing career opportunities to the graduates of the CEE Kitchen Masters program.

Community Award:

The CEE Community Award recognises Black community members who have made significant contributions within the community. Award Recipients: Samentia Wilson and Grace Mukhurane, both hold Receptionist positions at Black Creek Community Health Centre.

Ambassador Award:

The CEE Ambassador Award recognises significant achievements and contributions to Canadian society by inspiring individuals in either a professional domain or community initiative. Award Recipient: Walied Khogali – Labour Community Services Toronto and serve as the labour liaison to the United Way of Toronto & York region.

Alumni Award:

The CEE Alumni Award recognises a graduate of a CEE career program who have shown significant professional and personal growth. Award Recipient: Shirlon Wilson
