Kitchen Masters Program

kitchen MastersThe Kitchen Masters program is holistic program aimed at providing members with the skills, training and work experience needed to launch a career in the culinary industry.  Participants build their capacity through 3 months of professional development training, culinary training at a private college, cooking challenges and life skills coaching/workshops focused on personal development and goal setting. This is followed by a 4 month paid job placement. Each cohort commences their journey at a 3 day retreat outside of Toronto. Here they have an opportunity to bond with their fellow members, work with some of Toronto’s top chefs, gain initial knowledge of the culinary industry, and of course, cook!

Company Challenge

company challenge logoCompany Challenge is a career training and development program that builds our members capacity to launch a career in the creative industry. Through experiential learning activities – where members learn by doing – the program introduces several career pathways: employment, education and ‘side hustle’ entrepreneurship.

The goal of the program is to provide opportunities to gain: industry specific skills, professional development, transferable life skills, basic training in project management, professional networks, well-being tools, financial literacy and a 4 month paid job placement.

Kicking off with a three day retreat, the program subsequently runs for a period of seven (7) months. For the first 3 months, members undertake training 4 days per week: 3 days in class and 1 day independent learning. The latter 4 months, focuses on full time work experience through a paid placement. Take a behind the scene look into Company Challenge.

Branded Youth Marketing Conference

branded logo (2016)

There is no other youth conference where you can get professional photos of your product shot and edited, coaching from marketing experts, meet business professionals from across the GTA, hear inspiring speakers and network with other young professionals all in one day.

Branded is all about giving young entrepreneurs real tools that can improve their marketing plans right away. Instead of teaching through workshops, the Branded model is about hiring skilled young professionals to provide one-on-one and small group consulting to the young entrepreneurs. Branded aims to build the skills, marketing resources and networks of young entrepreneurs from Toronto’s priority neighbourhoods, focused on supporting African Canadian and Newcomer youth.
